Although Pacita Abad was primarily a painter, she loved to learn and experiment with new processes and techniques and this is what led her into the world of printmaking in the early 1980's. Thus began a journey that saw her explore a range of techniques including collagraph, etching, woodblocks, monoprint, sceenprint lithography and multicolored, paper pulp, mixed media collages assemblages, and sculptures.Watch video

Over the next 23 years as Pacita continuously explored the power of printmaking and purposely went beyond the traditional processes to utilize more of her painterly colors and use of materials in her printmaking.
