Pacita entered the University of the Philippines and planned to follow her parents footsteps and enter Philippine politics. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1968, and in 1969 began to study law.
Pacita was being groomed by her parents to be the next Congresswoman in the family. She would have been a popular politician, as she loved helping people and genuinely enjoyed the politics.
