University of the Philippines   1964 - 1969

Pacita entered the University of the Philippines and planned to follow her parents footsteps and enter Philippine politics. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1968, and in 1969 began to study law.

Pacita was being groomed by her parents to be the next Congresswoman in the family. She would have been a popular politician, as she loved helping people and genuinely enjoyed the politics.

Ironically, it was politics that forced her to leave the country, when President Marcos sent motorcycle goons to steal the 1969 election in Batanes.Watch video

Pacita, upset that her father had lost the fraudulent election, organized a successful student demonstration of university students, which marched to the Presidential Palace.
