The website chronicles the planning, design and painting of the Alkaff Bridge in Singapore by Pacita Abad, as her gift to the people of Singapore. Shortly after completing the painting of the Bridge in 2004, Pacita died after a three-year battle with lung cancer.
Fundacion Pacita Batanes Nature Lodge was once the home studio of internationally-acclaimed artist Pacita Abad. It was refurbished and expanded by her brother, Butch Abad, and is now owned by the Jorge, Aurora and Pacita Abad Foundation. The Fundacion supports two things close to Pacita's heart: Batanes and art. Proceeds from the resort help fund the education of young Ivatan artists, as well as heritage conservation projects in the province of Batanes.
