I was watching this kid prepare "his lunch of the day" in one of the camps until he started telling me his story. His mother and father, who were both doctors and owned a hospital in Kampuchea, were killed by the Khmer Rouge and so with his two sisters. He has been in the camp for more than six months and there is nothing for him to do but to watch and wait, maybe thinking of future destinations - Paris, New York, Phnom Penh or maybe remain in the camp forever. I asked him, what he would like to do when he gets out. He said he would like to go to Harvard.
